The last week in theatre has throw up some exciting announcements, so here is a roundup of some of the biggest news stories from the stagey world:
"WHITE ROSE" - Full cast announcement

Following the reveal of Collette Guitart and Tobias Turley as the two leads in the UK premiere of Brian Belding and Natalie Brice's musical "White Rose", we have since learned they will be joined by Owen Arkrow (title of show) as Willi, Danny Colligan (Book of Mormon) as Max, Charley Robbie (pro debut) as Lila, Thomas Sutcliffe (Tina) as Karl, Danny Whelan (Miss Saigon) as Christoph, Mark Willshire (Ghost) as Kurt Huber and Olly Wray (Les Miserables) as Frederick, with Millie Robins (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and Nathan Shaw (Rocky Horror Show) joining as covers.
White Rose plays at the Marylebone Theatre from the 27th of February until the 13th of April, with press night on the 4th of March, and tickets are now on sale.
"THE GREAT GATSBY" - Initial casting announced

It has been revealed that Jamie Muscato (Great Comet of 1812) and Frances Mayli McCann (Bonnie & Clyde) will lead the line as Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan in the west end transfer of Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen’s musical “The Great Gatsby”, with further casting to be revealed at a later date.
The Great Gatsby is slated to perform at the London Coliseum from the 11th of april until the 7th of September, and tickets are now on sale.
"HADESTOWN" - Cast change

The west end production of Anaïs Mitchell's musical masterpiece "Hadestown" have announced that Patrick Page, who was slated to begin performances at the Lyric Theatre reprising the role of Hades, has been injured and will have to delay his first performance. He will be replaced by Phillip Boykin, who most recently took on the role at the Walter Kerr Theatre on broadway, playing the king of the underworld between September 2023 and January 2025. He will step back into the role on the 11th of February, covering the role until Page is fit enough to perform again.
Hadestown currently plays at the Lyric Theatre in London; tickets from the 11th of February - 9th of March, however you can enter the lottery via TodayTix every Tuesday for these performances.
"SHUCKED" - Full cast announced

After initial casting for the UK premiere production of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally's Tony nominated musical "Shucked" was announced at the end of January, the full cast has since been revealed. Previously announced Monique Ashe-Palmer, Ben Joyce, Sophie McShera, Georgina Onuorah, Keith Ramsay, Matthew Seadon-Young and Steven Webb are being joined by Jonathan Andrew Hume (Come From Away) as grandpa, as well as ensemble members Taila Halford, Ross Harmon, Claudia Kariuki, Ying Ue Li, Tom Oliver, Gleanne Purcell-Brown, and Toyan Thomas-Browne. Completing the cast are swings Jed Berry, Nathaniel Purnell, Rachel Rawlinson (also dance captain) and Mia Shelbourne.
Shucked plays at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from the 10th of May to the 14th of June 2025, with tickets now on sale.
